Islamabad, April 30, 2024 – The International Office (IO) of COMSATS University Islamabad, in collaboration with the French Embassy in Islamabad, organized an Awareness Session on “Study in France” for the university’s students. The session was held at the International Centre of the university on Tuesday (April 30, 2024). Many third- and fourth-year students and CUI faculty members from various departments participated.
The resource persons from the French Embassy were Ms. Mathilde Loustalniau, Coordinator of Campus France Pakistan, and Ms. Arifa Sultana, Manager of Cultural and Cooperation Services. They delivered a comprehensive presentation on educational and scholarship opportunities in France. The speakers highlighted various study programs, scholarships, and cultural experiences offered for studying there. The session facilitated an understanding of the application and registration procedures and scholarship and grant opportunities for the students. The session also addressed questions from students about studying in France. The speakers answered the questions and clarified common misconceptions about language and fee structures. It was noted that it is entirely possible to pursue higher studies in France in English, and the fees are generally quite nominal. Students are allowed to work part-time to finance their living expenses. There are also paid internships, post-study work, and employment opportunities for the students.
Dr. Hammad Omer (T.I.), Head of International Office CUI, delivered closing remarks and shields to the visiting delegates. Dr. Omer acknowledged and appreciated the French Embassy for their continued cooperation with COMSATS University Islamabad.
